Hello & Happy New Year to Our Beloved YD Tea Community!! Many apologies for our sudden silence this summer and halt in production these past four months. Please know how dearly we miss connecting with and serving each and every one of you! We are beyond grateful for the sincere support and enthusiasm you have shown us over the last three years and thank you again for consuming countless cups of our specialty teas! It is indeed our hope to re-establish our organic herbal tea company and continue building our exciting entrepreneurial enterprise as soon as possible! For those who do not yet know, we have recently relocated from Maryland and returned to Massachusetts to be near both our families and tend to some chronic health complications with greater care and calm. We are happy to report that Jaime the Tea-Lady is officially on the mend and quite eager to get back to business! In fact, we've already started our own yearly Spring Cleaning with Daily Hot Lemon Water, Dandelion Tea, Nettle & Oatstraw Infusions and whatever yummy Yera Dé Herbal Teas we have left in our personal stock!! Even we miss our teas!!
But, rest assured, it is our dream to open an official full-service holistic herb shop with proper space, storage, staffing and machinery for mass production!! We will surely keep you posted on our progress and let you know when our ordering website is once again operational.

Spring Cleaning!
As Spring rapidly approaches, many of us are already considering yet another disciplined 3 to 30 day Cleanse &/or Fast, and in general, just feeling an impending need to spend more time outdoors & start "detoxing" (whatever that means!) LOL! And it's a very good instinct, in fact, that is what Spring & spring herbs are for... for activation! and amplification! and detoxification! "Out with the Old, In with the New!" our bodies cry! And as an experienced detoxer and amateur herbalist, I do think we should heed this call, maybe 2 to 3 times a year when a small or lengthy cleanse would benefit the body; but I also feel it's vitally important to remember that every body, every person is different and so, before starting any online fad diet or trying a new chinese herb, we must each consider what will make our detox process personal & practical, in addition to being spiritual and truly transformative?!
Detoxing for weight loss, chronic inflammation, adrenal support, drug & alcohol abuse, PTSD, Diabetes, immune boosting and other longterm health issues needs to be considered carefully and a patient & purposeful plan should be drafted with the guidance of trusted healthcare providers. Ultiamtely, the detox process can neither be rushed nor terminated w/o negative consequence. There's no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to mind, body & spiritual detoxing! Rome was not built in a day nor has its consequent havoc been fully cleaned up since!! Whatever toxins we've put in over the years (including undigested foods, sugars, caffeine, Candidas yeast, alcohol, and of course, the biggest toxin of all: Stress!) at some point must be cleansed & the body allowed to rest & repair (sometimes for upwards of 6 months to 2 years if necessary depending on sensitivity & toxicity levels!) Haphazard detoxes can cause more harm than good, however; without detoxification, inevitable organ damage and chronic fatigue issues will escalate & then must be dealt with more drastic measures, such as surgery and medication.
So, not to scare you, but FYI, it really is worthwhile to do some research and ask around, (feel free to FB me anytime!) as well as meditate & really intuit what YOUR body & mind and life really need to feel truly healed + alive! Who do you want to see in the mirror? And why? And what small but important changes can you make today that will start benefitting you immediately?
I've come to learn that it is not Superfoods or Herbal Teas or alternative practicioners that heal us, only Nature heals. Only Love heals. Only Time heals. If your digestion is slow, you won't be able to break down and absorb the vital nutrients from the Super expensive Superfoods you just ordered online! But you can go outside and sit in the grass with your barefeet and catch a few rays and breathe deep and listen to birds and stretch and relax and meditate and sip some tea and write a poem and call a friend and laugh and nap and most likely, even after just 10 minutes, you will already start feeling better!
And with the addition of an intelligent & intuitive individualized detox plan with kind support from loved ones & wellness practioners, you really can make some wonderfully dramatic & lifelong changes fairly quickly! Please note that in my limited opinion, there's no such thing as "one size fits all" kind of how-to for detoxing. *Every meal plan, herbal treatment, symptom/reaction (physical &/or emotional) should be assessed as you go to determine the ideal length of detox and make necessary adjustments!

Open House @ Joy Lane Healing Center
Today, we participated in a delightful gathering of open-minded (and open hearted!) folks over @ The Joy Lane Healing Center in Hollywood, MD! We so enjoyed meeting even more like-minded, holistic and spirited people interested in everything from Qigong and Biofeedback to Conscious Abundance & Gratitude Meditation, Reflexology & of course, Our Organic Herbal Teas!! Today we served free samples of our Spring Cleaning Detox, Rooibos Chai & Jasmine Green, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed (and empty) by the end of the day!! And we even got an invite to host a Tea & Herb Workshop the 1st Saturday in May in their gorgeous upstairs yoga studio!! So stay tuned for more details!!

Happy Maté Monday!!
At our house, we like to start our days with a *Refreshing & Energizing* Cold-Steeped Loose Leaf Organic Yerba Maté with a Bombilla that we then Re-Steep 3-5x more throughout the day using medium to hot water for a nice healthy boost of *Healthy Concentration, Metabolism & Stamina!!* And believe you me, we have no problems falling asleep at night (Jason especially) because Yerba Maté does not upset the brain's sleep cycles or adenosine re-uptake.

Healing the World One Tea Bag at a Time.
Of all the things we can imagine doing with our lives, of all the ways we love to share and serve, we decided to share with the world our most joyful, most healing ritual; Tea. Tea is our passion, our comfort, our peace. And every time we invite friends to gather for tea in our tiny little house by the creek here in Hollywood, MD, our lives feel rich with a sense of community and calm and it is truly the more the merrier!
And with each delicious cup of Yera Dé Herbal Teas, we drink to our health. We drink of the Earth. We drink to the Earth. We often drink our own blends, but still will try any tea that entices us along the way. It is our indulgence and oftentimes, our medicine. Christmas Bazaar!
Yera Dé Herbal Teas had such a wonderful time @ The Our Lady Star of the Sea School Fund Raiser Christmas Bazaar!! We passed out free samples of our delicious Seasonal Blend, Christmas Cookie, and sold out of it in the first 10 minutes!! We also debuted our NEW Stocking Stuffers, including our Selective Sampler Sets (featuring 5 of our unique teas in individually-wrapped tea bags) and Organic Lavender Mint Potpourri Sachets! To raise money for this great community and school, we also donated a Yera Dé gift set including some of our eco-chic tea accessories and one of our new wine mulling spice blends!!
